A PROLOGUE in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin
THE MAIN RACE from Cherbourg-en-Cotentin to Lorient
THREE DIFFERENT COURSES depending on the speed of the boats

The racing area will be held off the Eastern Channel and the Cotentin, the Irish Sea and the Atlantic coast along the Charente Pertuis extended to the Bay of Biscay.

The Prologue, the DRHEAM-TROPHY, is an inshore race between 15 and 25 miles approximately held on Saturday 11th July between La Hague and Barfleur.

The DRHEAM-CUP / GRAND PRIX DE FRANCE DE COURSE AU LARGE is a major race with three courses, that will start on Sunday 12th July:

  • The “DC 600” race, approximately 600 nautical miles, starting in CHERBOURG-EN-COTENTIN, then SHAMBLE WEST, WOLF ROCK (the Isles of Scilly), WEST CARDINAL ROCHEBONNE, ÎLE DE GROIX to starboard, finish in LORIENT.
  • The “DC 1000” race, approximately 1000 nautical miles, starting in CHERBOURG-EN-COTENTIN, then SHAMBLE WEST, WOLF ROCK (the Isles of Scilly), the FASTNET, the BXA buoy, ÎLE DE GROIX to starboard, finish in LORIENT.
  • The “DC 1500” race,approximately 1500 nautical miles starting in CHERBOURG-EN-COTENTIN, then SHAMBLE WEST, the SW of England, “DRHEAM-IM” Waypoint, placed by the OA North of the Isle of Man, the FASTNET, a buoy or waypoint off BILBAO, ÎLE DE GROIX to starboard, finish in LORIENT.
    • The “DRHEAM IM” waypoint can be moved by the OA closer or further from the ISLE OF MAN before the start of the Race, to adjust the distance of the race depending on the OA’s desired
      ETA. It can be modified during the race with the agreement of the skippers of the ULTIM class.
    • The “BILBAO” waypoint can also be moved by the OA before the start of the Race, to adjust the distance of the race depending on the OA’s desired ETA. It can be modified during the
      race with the agreement of the skippers of the ULTIM class
